The Atlanta Printmakers Studio has announced plans for a much-anticipated studio move, one that will provide increased capacity and amenities for the 12-year old organization. After looking for more than three years for the right space, Atlanta Printmakers Studio (APS) has found it only a few miles down the road from their current location in southwest Atlanta. The new studio, opening in September, will be in Hapeville, a community with a growing arts scene, located inside the Perimeter with easy access off the highway.

The search was fueled by a need for more space, a studio that could accommodate more classes and workshops, and still allow space for individual printmakers to work. The new space is more than double in size, allowing for more presses and equipment. Another benefit will be heat and air to provide a more comfortable environment, and anyone who has been to the current studio during the summer will know how great this news is! Other amenities include better parking and the ability to walk to the restaurants and shops of Hapeville.

Atlanta Printmakers Studio is a non-profit community printmaking studio located in the historic West End neighborhood just minutes from downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2005 to promote the fine art of printmaking, the studio offers access to a well-equipped studio and diverse educational programs that foster the development of printmaking as a vibrant and progressive art form.

Each year APS provides the community with a variety of experiences such as classes, workshops, residencies, internships and exhibitions. In addition to activities in the studio, APS offers a continuing calendar of outreach events to serve the local community. We welcome all artists and the general public to join us in creating, learning about, and collecting fine art prints.
